It depends on the age. It is foolish to take a two year old and begin explaining many things. You pick the appropriate age. When a child is older you explain many things to them. Grandma and Grandpa are going to die some day. Accidents happen and people die. Likewise, you explain that someday Jesus is coming back and he is going to take everyone who has put their faith in him to live with him forever in heaven. At least that is the way you would do it if you believe the Bible. Many other people think the end of the world is coming. Listen to doomsayers around the news and it often seems like chicken little has been cloned. The alternative to believing the end of the world is coming is to believe that it will never occur. This flies not only in the face of what the Bible teaches but even what science and experience teaches. Life does not continue for everyone on this earth forever. How do you explain that to your children? It depends on the age.

Even if you do not believe in God you must accept that there is something much greater than you!
